Chateaus, Canals, Greeneries, and Flowers

“The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Going solo makes you discover about yourself. How you react to challenges? How you feel comfortable doing things by yourself? You don’t need to deal with somebody. You don’t need to communicate. You just do things. If you make mistake, you take responsibility. I love going solo. You get to talk to people whenever you feel like doing. You can stay quiet and just watch people around you.

I found a campsite along the way. First, I passed it, but decided to go back and called it a day. The wind was picking up again. I had pitched my tent, before heading for dinner. When I went back, my tent was blown away. I saw a couple pitching a nice tent, where they could sit down inside and relaxed. I put mine back again. They were wondering if I could sleep in such condition. Luckily, I was able to sleep. The campsite is managed by a British group. It has a complete facility. The couple had been biking for almost a month now and they had the last stretch heading to the other end of Atlantic. I was jealous what a comfortable tent they have. Next time, I’ll have a better tent. The importance of having a good tent for rest and relaxation.

It had been a nice ride. The road was easy, but long. It was scenic all the way and the weather was pleasant. I felt I was sunburned without even noticing it. Always good to wear a sun screen before the ride.

A must visit — Chateau Chambord.

From the campsite, it took a short time to get to Chateau Chambord. There was a long line already at this time. I decided to visit the place anyway.

I also came across a town and I love the location of this town. They also beautified the bridge with flowers. The town is — Chécy. I like to spend more time in this town. I could have, if I had a good tent. A guy next pitched a big tent next to me, for he intended to spend another day here; that’s what I want to do in the future. Have a nice tent, and spend more days in a town that appeals to me. You can put all your stuff in the tent and off you go exploring with a light load.
