Something to celebrate

The second day of biking was getting used to the signs of Eurovelo and this stage was straightforward — just follow the Loire river and it was a dream following this river. I arrived in Angers and it was still early to call it a day.

I kept going, for there was no campsite around. I passed through the city. The wanting of stopping, but I didn’t find any place that made me stop. I guess it was also the strong feeling to keep going and ride to cover distance took over. Then after a long ride along the river, I came to a bridge and the sign led to cross the bridge. At this time, I crossed the bridge with gusty wind blowing on my right side. Luckily, the weight I was carrying made the bike stable. After crossing the bridge, I stopped by the restaurant and it started to rain hard. Since the place was full of reservation, I stayed at the counter to see what’s going on. I talked to a very nice bartender girl. She suggested local wine — Chenin and fried anchovies. The movements around were picking up. Since it was getting late in the afternoon, she suggested a campsite across the bridge. I didn’t have to continue on. All I needed to do was biked across the bridge and the campsite is right there.

Some bikers went with group, however I’d seen solo bikers and couple. So, you see all sort of bikers.
