Christmas Day

Christmas is all about children enjoying this festive moment — watching them play is the joy of life. Conversing with the youth of today makes me dream with them. I feel that I’m in their shoes and aspire with them. It’s the moment to explore the world around us and push our limits. My full support to all the youth of today.

Christmas Day in Chicago has given us to get a bird’s eye view of the city — the skyscrapers. The Sears building (not in the picture)is next to us. Then a view of a great body of water, parts of it frozen — It’s Lake Michigan.

On the way to visit Sylvia’s family, we took Sheridan road and passed Evanston where we saw Northwestern University, a private institution. What a beautiful campus! We also passed by Winnetka and Glencoe.

Bahai Temple

As we drove from one neighborhood to another on Sheridan road, we passed by a cemetery. We couldn’t help ourselves but stop. We visited Lake Forest cemetery and it’s a historical site, for there were people who died during the 1800s. Going to a cemetery is also a time to look deep into ourselves and also pay homage to all the lost souls and that includes our family. As for me, my dad, my mom, and Junior in the Ilocos province and friends who passed away around the world.
