All Souls’ Day
All Souls' Day, also called The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, is a day of prayer and remembrance for the faithful departed, observed by Christians on 2 November. Through prayer, intercessions, alms and visits to cemeteries, people commemorate the poor souls in purgatory and gain them indulgences.
We remember all our loved ones on this day. As for me, I remember the memories of Papang and Mamang. Papang, our great provider in the family and all the travels together to Manila, Vigan, and San Fernando. Mamang was my great companion in the summer and all the good foods provided — going to remote places, doing gardening, sharing dreams and aspirations, having a drink together before it got dark and dinner. She was the one would lead the rosary.
