Baden Baden

Traveling this summer included visiting friends for the first time in their place. First, it came just a wishful plan. Then, a three-month job leave became a reality, and that opened up everything. I started confirming my visit and got a positive response. Friends — Xenia and Sina — collaborated on where to stay and put a plan together. There were lots of things to do, but we narrowed them down. Planning and flexibility came together.

Staying 9 months in Cádiz after the lockdown gave me a chance to reach out and make friends at the same time. riends in 2021 in Cádiz during the pandemic. Xenia became my tennis practice partner at the tennis club throughout my stay in this small city. Quite an easy to get together and in any place around the city. We became friends and got to meet her friend Sina. When I was in Maro Nerja, they came over to visit and spend hours of kayaking a week before heading back to Germany.

First, they picked me up in Stuttgart and gave me a tour around the city before heading to Baden Baden in the Black Forest.

A hike to the Black Forest. I was expecting a challenging one, but it was more of a stroll in the Black Forest heading to Lake Mummelsee. The trail was well-marked.
