Sierra de Guara
The post-pandemic period is gradually taking us back to the norm of going outdoors. I always look forward to this occasion to catch up with friends and do canyoning together. We’ve been doing this for more than 6 years and it is something I look forward to every year. There is a good vibe towards each other from the start and that’s why we have come this far as long as health permits us to keep doing it. Every year is different, for we grow and go through different experiences years in and year out and that’s why coming together makes us share our life experiences and learn from them, and that’s why this activity is essential to me and coming to this beautiful place is refreshing to all of us. It re-energizes us in many ways. The first 6-7 years, it became a kickoff before heading summer holidays. The post-pandemic effect has changed things. We became for flexible when it comes to scheduling.
As for this year, we headed back late August. We opted for classic Barasil, this canyon requires swimming, navigating through rocks, and wading our way through water ponds and diving when it is safe. This is the classic Barassil canyon and the following day, we opted for a dry canyon and repelling. So, there is a bit of everything here.
