Biking Des Plaines River

Biking in Des Plaines River is a paradise for bikers as well as for kayakers alike. We set off at 8 AM after a hearty breakfast. First, we had a hearty breakfast and a lively conversation before hitting DPR (Des Plaines River). We hopped on our bikes. Well, excited to hop on my new bike for a long ride and I am really happy with it (price and the specs) and this new toy will give me a chance to explore new places. Upon entering the DPR trail from Old School Forest Reserve, I felt I was in paradise.

There's a certain kind of magic that happens when you embark on a biking adventure along the Des Plaines River Trail. As you pedal along its scenic route, you'll find yourself transported to a world of natural wonders. With each twist and turn, this enchanting trail unveils its hidden treasures, leaving cyclists awe-inspired and craving for more. An easy trail to enjoy the natural wonders of northern Chicago.

As you glide along the trail, it quickly becomes apparent that Mother Nature has bestowed her artistic brilliance upon the Des Plaines River. Lush green foliage lines the banks, painting a mesmerizing picture of serenity. The trail weaves through dense forests, where sunlight filters through the leaves, creating a symphony of dancing shadows. Each pedal stroke brings you closer to nature's masterpiece, as you catch glimpses of vibrant wildflowers, majestic birds in flight, and perhaps even a curious deer peering from the woods. It's a constant reminder that the true beauty of this world lies in its unspoiled corners.
