Thankful for the Little Things in Life
It is when we thank our everyday blessings even small things that we take for granted can brighten up our ways of living. Just by finding that moment to appreciate what we have and paying attention to the present moment — making all our senses go to work — the sense of seeing, hearing, feeling, smellingl, and tasting what this world has to offer. This morning, I took a bowl of cereal and put all the goodies in it, sat down, and gaze out of the window. I could feel the warmth of the morning sun, see the dormant trees, at the table where the sun was hitting and giving thanks this present moment. The home where I am staying, my host and her family, and the beauty around me — the trees, the mini lake in the backyard, the trees, the snow, and the deer that pass by in the mornings. However, Thanksgiving Day is a special occasion to count all our blessings during the year. It makes me look back at all the blessings that I received this year. Indeed, I have so much to thank for. The feeling if I die now, I would be very happy. Still I have to give back with all the blessing that I received. It’s priceless with all the time I spent with family members and friends, the smiling faces and kindness of all the people that I ran into, and the beauty of places I passed by. I feel so privileged to be there to be in their midst.

There is nothing like family. They stick around with you no matter what. The unceasing generosity and you expect that they are still there with you.
When I came back to the valley after many years, I got to see friends and they accepted as I was before.
