Connecting with Family and Friends Again.

We don’t to get to see friends and family nowadays. Either we are busy doing our own stuff or satisfied at the comforts of our home. Time passes by so fast. I like travel to include being together with loved ones. Well, not all. I’ve got to choosy, because some people don’t want to be interrupted or disturbed with their normal routines. I’d like to pursue this concept at this stage of my life. As much as possible I don’t want to put it off. Time is precious and I don’t want to end up not doing this. I want to make it personal so that I can connect deeply with the one I’m visiting.

In the summer of 2022, I got a chance to visit my niece Gisele in Texas. It was hot at that time. Texas seems to be like Arizona nowadays wherein early in the morning you see temperatures hitting to 90s F. I learned that she loves to cook and excellent time managing his cooking. Aside from her cooking, we got to do puzzles which I hadn’t done for a long time. We also went to a movie together. A wonderful bonding between us and it was emotional when we said goodbye.

Then, on my back to Los Angeles, I was able to visit friends in Phoenix. We talked about old times when we were working in Beverly Hills and I staying there for a night made me surmise that we are all getting old. My friends have reached their 80s and that was alarming to me and that we don’t have time to live on this planet. Getting to see that they just stay home and they go out only on certain occasions. I respect their decisions to do that, but that’s not for me. It isn’t something that I envision myself. I like doing stuff and at least, doing something for the community and start serving. I’m not going to wait in my deathbed. Visiting friends made me see things that I fear or don’t like and that this is the time to make a move before it is too late. I also having a home makes us comfortable and stay there until our last breath. I do have an advantage by being homeless. It forces to keep moving until I find my sanctuary.

In Barcelona, I got a chance to see my lovely cousin Estela who I love so much. It was only wonderful moment to be with her again. We celebrated her birthday with her friends.
