Revisiting Venice

We only get a few chances in this world. Revisiting places that hold dear in our hearts doesn’t come often. As for me, situations pave way to visit these places and when that happens, I grab it without hesitation. Here, I got a chance to revisit Venice. A planned stopover for a night in Mestre had extended for a few more nights. It was an opportunity to revisit Venice again and indeed, it was just tracing my steps when I first came here and then followed it up in the winter time many years ago. It brings back the old memories when I was still young and I felt young at heart again even though the obvious marks of wrinkles are already present.

At this time, I also stayed in the town called Mestre, where the main train station is located. Mestre is a major transportation hub, especially for those traveling to Venice. The Venezia Mestre railway station is one of the busiest in Italy, serving as a gateway for travelers heading to the historic city of Venice. This location led easy visits in the afternoons and coming back in the evening.
