Bâtard Montrachet
About to exit Côte de Beaune. It has been a great ride all the way to Dijon.
Explore Côte d'Or
Biking in the Burgundy wine region of Côte d'Or is a delightful experience, combining scenic landscapes, cultural richness, and culinary delights.
Gevrey-Chambertin
Cycling in Gevrey-Chambertin is about more than just the ride—it’s about immersing yourself in the land that produces some of the world’s finest wines. It’s a journey where past and present intertwine, where every vineyard has a story, and where the simple act of pedaling connects you with the very essence of Burgundy.
Chassagne-Montrachet
As soon as I got to Montrachet, I found a family owned vineyard and scheduled a wine tasting.
A Bike Friendly Country
After biking for over a week now, I come to conclude that France is the best country to do a bike tour. It is the continuous thread of beauty along the way.
Paray-le-Monial
I was awaken by a sunrise. I pitched my tent under a tree right next to a pathway of a canal. I had a good sleep and put in more than 100 K yesterday. Now, looking forward to having breakfast in Party-le-Monial.
Palinges Countryside
After hanging out in Paray-le-Monial in the morning, it was time to move on and got to this Château and it became a place to have a picnic. Château de Digoine is surrounded by extensive gardens and a landscaped park. The gardens include formal French-style layouts, with manicured lawns, flowerbeds, and ornamental features. The park also features a picturesque lake, walking paths, and areas of natural beauty.
Exploring the Canals
I never got tired of riding along the Loire river. The changes of sceneries right along the river.
Jars to Nevers
Everyday is a joy and seldom do you go side by side with cars. It is a total delight to cycle and the culture of gastronomy and wine. What more can you ask for when you got beautiful sceneries, historic chateaus, charming villages, excellent wine and exquisite cuisine.
The Beauty of the Countryside
I was taken away by this canal and waited for a boat to pass by. What a beautiful countryside. France is a truly a vacation place who likes country living.
Gien
Before running into Gien, I was fixated with this nuclear plant. France operates 56 nuclear reactors across 18 nuclear power plants. These reactors contribute to a significant portion of the country's electricity generation, making France one of the world's leading nations in terms of nuclear energy usage.
